About Rosenthaler Platz Pharmacy
Rosenthaler Platz Pharmacy has a long and eventful history. Founded in 1905 by Ignatz Hadra under the name Germania Pharmacy, it was originally located in the historic Scheunenviertel of Rosenthaler Vorstadt. In 1936, Ignatz Hadra was expropriated due to his Jewish heritage and fled to Amsterdam, after which Max Buthke took over the management of the pharmacy in 1939. After World War II, the pharmacy finally moved to its current location in the Feder House in 1946, which was previously used by Commerzbank.
Over the years, the pharmacy changed its name several times: from Germania Pharmacy to Sanimedius, and finally to Rosenthaler Platz Pharmacy in 2007. Since then, we have continuously developed and expanded our range of services – always with the goal of providing our customers with the best possible care.
